چکیده

In construction work, foundation planning must be appropriately designed so that the stresses in do not exceed bearing capacity of soil below. This study aims to determine using Terzaghi method, Meyerhof and Hansen method as well analyze safety A3 building design on Yos Sudarso Induk Street, Palangka Raya City. The calculation results show value is lower than methods. obtained 375.567 kN/m2, 1105.396 kN/m2 848.996 kN/m2. At 3 bridge points reviewed, stress appears pavement base at point C3 170.923 capacity, D3 160.90 C6 159.421 load. third train declared safe because voltage guitar load ground.

A Method for Predicting Pile Capacity Using Cone Penetration Test Data

The massive construction in poor lands has encouraged engineers to use deep foundations in order to transfer superstructure loads to the subsoil. Since soil excavation, sampling, and laboratory testing as a part of site investigation are relatively difficult, in-situ tests such as cone penetration test (CPT) as a very informative test may be recommended. The CPT has been widely used in engineer...

Estimating of geotechnical properties of clay soil with dynamic cone penetration (DCP) test

Dynamic cone penetration (DCP) test is used more in pavement design and construction, and less for subsurface geotechnical investigation and clay core dam. In the present article, evaluating geotechnical parameters of Sanandaj’s clay in the western region of Iran using the DCP test was taken into account. Accordingly, 6 trial pits with maximum depths of 15 m were excavated manually in various s...

Using Miniature Cone Penetration Test (Mini-CPT) to determine engineering properties of sandy soils

In-situ testing techniques have proven to be successful in improving the speed and reliability of geotechnical investigations. One of the most common in-situ methods in engineering geology and site investigation is Cone Penetration Test (CPT), which is mainly used for characterization of soils, as it is a robust, simple, fast, reliable and economic test that can provide continuous soundings of ...

Subsurface Exploration Using the Standard Penetration Test and the Cone Penetrometer Test

The Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) have become industry standards for subsurface geotechnical investigations using small diameter (<8-in. [20-cm]) borings and soundings. Both procedures have evolved over a period of 100 and 70 years, respectively, and have been adopted as ASTM standards. Each procedure has certain advantages over the other, but both can elicit ...
